🔥 Good Morning from Top Tickers

🔥 This Health Insurer Just Jumped 5% Premarket

Earnings are doing the sorting this morning. A health insurer is leading the gainers after clearing expectations on both profit and revenue, and a Wall Street giant is close behind on a revenue beat big enough to set the tone for bank earnings season.

The downside is busier. A biotech is tumbling after a failed mid-stage trial, a theme park operator is sliding after a fatal ride incident, and memory chip stocks are selling off as a new Chinese rival rattles the group. Even a beat on paper couldn’t save a pizza chain whose sales growth only matched the bar.

🚀 Pre-Market Movers

The Biggest Gainers, Ranked

UnitedHealth (UNH): +5%

The health insurance giant topped expectations on both profit and revenue, with earnings landing well ahead of what analysts had penciled in. For the biggest name in the sector, a clean beat on the bottom line is exactly the kind of quarter the market wants to reward.

Goldman Sachs (GS): +3%

Goldman blew past revenue expectations for the third quarter, and the size of the beat is the story. On the first big morning of bank earnings, Goldman is setting the bar the rest of Wall Street will be measured against.

📉 Pre-Market Movers

The Biggest Losers, Ranked

Syndax Pharmaceuticals (SNDX): -12%

Syndax is tumbling after its antibody axatilimab failed to meet its primary endpoint in a Phase 2 trial for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, a serious lung disease. The company said it was disappointed given the science behind the approach, and a drop this steep shows how much the market was counting on that trial opening a new growth avenue.

Six Flags (FUN): -8%

The amusement park operator is falling after a man died and others were injured in a roller coaster incident at its Georgia park, according to Cobb County police. Beyond the human toll, an incident like this raises safety questions that investors will be weighing against attendance in the months ahead.

SK hynix (SKHY): -6%

Memory stocks are sliding after a rough overnight session in South Korea, with valuation worries growing as China’s CXMT plans to roll out a new, more powerful chip by the end of 2026. Western Digital (WDC) and Seagate (STX) are also down more than 6%, with SanDisk (SNDK) off nearly 5% and Micron (MU) nearly 4%. Nothing has changed in anyone’s results yet, but a credible new rival makes the group’s premium harder to defend.

Domino’s Pizza (DPZ): -3%

Domino’s beat estimates on earnings and revenue, but US same-store sales barely grew and only matched what analysts expected. For a restaurant chain, that is the number that matters most, and “in line” wasn’t good enough.

👀 What We’re Watching

Here’s One Ticker That’s Trending Today

Meta Platforms (META)

Meta’s mentions on r/wallstreetbets are surging, and the conversation keeps circling back to Muse, the AI agent Mark Zuckerberg has called the centerpiece of the company’s AI vision. Traders are split between calls and puts, debating whether Muse is a real new business or an expensive story heading into earnings.

The first hardware test lands today: Ray-Ban Meta Audio, glasses built around talking to Muse, launches October 13 starting at $349. Muse already sent the stock up about 11% in a single session last month on early user data, so whether real-world sales extend that story or cool it off is what the chatter seems to be watching.

✌️That’s it for today.
